Materials: Mixed Media, Collage, Old Magazines, PVA glue.

These collages were part of the process in the lead-up to my "Obesity, Anorexia, Perfection" series. These, imparticular focus on the representation of "perfection".

The collages are aimed to provide an indepth understanding of how the "media" portrays the human body and how we see the body ourselves. The "media" whether that be magazines, newspapers, TV, internet, news etc. contributes significantly to how we see ourselves, what we wear, what we eat, what we do, our identity. The media in all its variety portrays positive and negative issues everyday on our health and body image, whether you choose to follow it or ignore, it's up to you.
