OCEAN SALAD (2 of 3 parts)

This artwork was done for my friend David who celebrated his 18th birthday recently. It represents his vibrancy, colour and friendliness as well as his attitude and fine taste for food - just like a bowl of salad. It is titled "Ocean Salad" because it reminded me of the sea, the corals, the reef, the speckle of colour and life amongst the living organisms and marine creatures that make our earth so unique.
The use of modelling paste allowed me to create a painting that would be very rough and highly textured...just like coral reefs. Hope you enjoy my most recent work.
